Mia & Georgia’s Birthday

As a mother of two (completely awesome) boys, I might have involuntarily let out a little yelp of excitement when Donna told me that she was throwing a fairy dress-up party for her beautiful daughters Mia and Georgia, who share a birthday.

It was wonderful.  And the children’s faces when they walked into the party were priceless – I don’t think any more wonder could have fit on those little faces even if Willy Wonka himself had been there!

Cassy & Andrew

To be asked to be a part of someone’s wedding day is a very personal thing.  You get to truly see people as they are, surrounded by their family and closest friends.

It’s a privilege and a responsibility I don’t take lightly.

Cassy and Andrew’s wedding was so remarkably beautiful and honest and loving…right down to the inclusion of their gorgeous 3 month old baby, Rosie, who blissfully watched the whole affair from her Grandmother’s lap!

Thank you for inviting me Cassy and Andrew – it was a truly wonderful day I won’t soon forget.

Georgia Grace’s Baptism

When Donna contacted me about shooting her daughter Georgia’s baptism, I was so busy that I was worried I wouldn’t be able to do it.  Fortunately the stars seemed to align for us and Georgia’s baptism was to fall on the one day I would be able to make it.

I’m so glad it did.

I’ve had the benefit of knowing (of) this little person since she was growing inside her Mum’s tum. To be asked to photograph her baptism was really very special.

Even the Sydney March rain clouds parted for the day (I think it may have been one of the only Sydney days in March where it didn’t rain!).

To Donna and her gorgeous family, thank you.

Julietta & Simon

That second Saturday in March was cold and windy and rainy.

And then it was cold and windy and rainy some more.

It didn’t matter though.  Julietta and Simon’s love that they so clearly feel for each other filled and warmed everyone around them that day.

After they’d said their private vows, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house – mine included.  It was quite something to behold.

I love love.

Breakfast – The Point Cafe Killcare Surf Club

Makeup – the very talented Gino Balestra

Celebrant – Jacqueline Lawrence

Wedding venue – Kincumber Mountain Kiosk

Lord St, Newtown

Some good friends of ours bought a tumbledown warehouse in Newtown about 8 years ago, with plans to do it up – an entirely feasible option for them as Richard is an architect and Bianca has an impeccable sense of style.

The result was beautiful.

Now, 8 years later, the time has come to sell.

Richard and Bianca commissioned me to come and take some photographs of their beautiful warehouse – something to remember it by.  Even though I usually prefer to do portrait photography, there was so much emotion and so much of both Richard and Bianca invested in this property, I almost felt like this place WAS a person.

I can’t wait to see what their next place is like.

If you’re interested, you can find out more about the warehouse here.
